How it works
A calender roll compresses material between two or more rolls under controlled nip load. Our rolls can incorporate adjustable crown, internal heating or cooling and high-precision machining to achieve uniform sheet thickness and surface finish. Designs include single-shell heated/cooling rolls, double-shell spirally baffled rolls and EDRD® or FRANKLAND-Flex® variants for deflection control.
