420 Stainless Steel Overlay Rolls
420 stainless steel overlay rolls are heat transfer rolls, also referred to as chill or calendar rolls, built with 420 stainless steel cladding to increase corrosion resistance and durability. These rolls are predominantly used for plastics, as they may be used to heat or cool products and set an appropriate thickness.
4140 Flame Hardened Rolls
4140 flame hardened rolls are heat transfer rolls, also referred to as calendar or chill rolls, made from 4140 alloy steel and flame-hardened to achieve a hardness of between 50 and 55Rc. While these rolls do not provide corrosion resistance, they limit potential bleed through of the 420 stainless steel overlay application.
Double Shell Spirally Baffled Rolls
Double shell spirally baffled rolls are heat transfer rolls, or chill rolls, used in applications that do not require the durability of the 420 stainless steel or flame-hardened roll. The PLI is normally lower on this specific design for applications in which durability and corrosion resistance is not necessary. These rolls may be used to heat or cool products and set an appropriate thickness.
ASME Code Certified Rolls and Drums
Single shell rolls are utilized in applications where heat transfer is not needed or does not need to be controlled. These rolls are predominately used as carrying rolls or cores for rubber-covered rolls.
Calendar Rolls
Calendar rolls are heat transfer rolls, or chill rolls, used in higher load applications. They are used to remove temperature, set the thickness of the product, and leave a finish on the product.
Engraving Roll Cores
Engraving roll cores are typically double-shell spirally baffled chill rolls that may need a specific diameter based on the repeat pattern of the engraving.
Rubber Roll Cores
Rubber roll cores may be single- or double-shell chill rolls and may or may not require fluid to flow through them.
EDRD (Enhanced Deflection Reduction
Design) Rolls
Our proprietary EDRD rolls utilize proprietary engineering and design to reduce roll face deflection by 40% on average.
Inverta-Flex Rolls
Create flat sheets by compensating for the deflection in the mating roll. These rolls may be used for a wide variety of materials and are solely created by USA Rolls in the nation.
Extherminator™
Extherminator Rolls are designed for applications where roll face temperature variation is critical. They are designed to hold +/- .5°C across the roll face, can handle loads up to 200 PLI, and they avoid spiral wrap bleed through on thin sheets. These rolls utilize a PTFE spiral as opposed to a traditional steel spiral.
